This is a 10* TOTAL OF THE WEEK on the OVER Iowa/Maryland.

We have a couple of 4-0 teams going head-to-head here in Big Ten action on Friday night. These are two good defensive teams that have problems scoring at times, but I still look for this total to firmly eclipse the posted number as the game comes down the stretch.

The Hawkeyes offense is led by QB Spencer Petras, who has 684 passing yards and four TD's this season. The Iowa offense though revolves around the run, anchored by likely the best offensive line in the country. RB Tyler Goodson has 364 rushing yards and five TD's already.

Iowa also has a nation-leading defense that concedes only 11 PPG.

But I think Maryland throws its best punch here and looks to keep the pressure on the visiting side throughout. The Terps are averaging 37.2 PPG led by quarterback Taulia Tagovailoa, who has 1,340 passing yards and ten touchdowns.

The Terps have also been really good defensively in conceding just 14.2 PPG, but again, I think this game will be faster-paced than what the books are trying to lead us to believe.

Finally, note that Iowa has seen the total go OVER the number in eight of its last 11 after playing to three or more straight UNDERS in a row (has so far seen the total go 0-4 this season.)

I expect a hard-fought, but ultimately higher-scoring OVER in this one.
