This is an 8* ACC AFTERNOON SPECIAL on Florida State.
Am I predicting an outright upset? I am not.
But I do think the stage is set for a much more competitive affair than what this spread would suggest.
FSU is 1-4 and UNC is 3-2. The Seminoles are coming off a big 33-30 home win over Syracuse and I like them to keep the momentum rolling here.
Noles' QB McKenzie Milton has 548 yards passing, two TD's and four INT's, while Jordan Travis has 368 yards, six touchdowns and five picks. Jashaun Corbin leads the ground attack with 504 yards and four TD's.
UNC is off a 38-7 destruction of Duke. QB Sam Howell has 1,494 passing yards, 14 TD's and four INT's, while Ty Chandler leads the the rushing attack with 324 yards and four rushing TD's.
So can North Carolina cover this massive spread? It's going to win this game outright, but I say this is way too many points to be giving up.
UNC is just 2-6 ATS in its last eight following a win, while the Seminoles are 7-3 ATS in their last ten as a conference road dog of 15.5 or more points.
The Tar Heels welcome the Hurricanes here next week. I think they'll also get caught looking ahead.
Everything points to this one being competitive.
So grab the points.
Good luck, NP
