This is a 10* NIT TOURNEY TOTAL OF YEAR on the UNDER St. Bonaventure/UVA.
Two defensive-minded clubs collide in the quarterfinals of the NIT and in my opinion, this one does indeed have defensive battle written all over it.
The Bonnies were eliminted by St. Louis in the conference Tournament, but they've won the first two games of the NIT, beating Colorado, followed by a tight 70-68 victory over Oklahoma in the second round on Sunday. Overall they average 70.6 PPG, while allowing 66.6.
Teh Cavalier have also been involved in two close games so far to get to this point, beating Mississippi State 60-57, and then North Texas by a score of 71-69 in OT. The Cavs though average just 63.6 PPG, while allowing only 60.4 (12th in the country.)
We have a hard time seeing either side reaching its seasonal offensive average, so the play is the UNDER in this one.
