Total: 7.50 | -110.00 Over
Result: Win
This is a 10* TOP TOTAL on the OVER Phillies/Marlins.
We had a play on the OVER in yesterday's game between the Phillies and Marlins and while it looked promising that it'd go OVER in the middle innings, it didn't pan out in the Marlins eventual 4-3 victory.
Both teams come in desperately hungry for a win here and we're now finally expecting that to translate into some offensive production tonight.
The Phillies hand the ball to Zack Eflin (0-0, 0.00 ERA), while the Marlins counter with Pablo Lopez (0-0, 1.80).
Eflin had a 0.96 ERA in spring training and he went four scoreless on Sunday vs. the A's. I say some minor regression is finally in store for Eflin, who was 2-5 with a 5.12 ERA on the road last season.
He's also just 5-6 with a pedestrian 4.75 ERA in 13 career starts against Miami.
Lopez is 1-1 with a 3.69 ERA in six career outing vs. the Phillies.
Lopez throws better at home than on the road, but I still think he'll have trouble with this desperate Phillies' line-up.
I say these starters both take a step back and I look for these starving line-ups to finally plate some runs.
This number is low, the play is the OVER.
Good luck, NP
