We got down right away on this one, as we anticipated a bit of line movement the OTHER way, but then Luka Doncic got hurt and this total has dropped.

Regardless, we're expecting a more wide-open affair between these two teams in their first matchup, a pace which we believe will lead to a very high-scoring contest.

The Jazz finished the regular season by going 3-1. They average 114 PPG. This isn't the same Jazz team's of the past which revolved around its tough defensive play.

The Mavs enter on a four-game win streak. They average 108 PPG. Dallas though has interestingly seen the total go OVER the numer in seven of its last ten when playing with three or more days of rest.

The fact that Doncic is out puts added pressure on several key players to step up and contribute today. Look for Dallas to rally and fill the void.

When you add it all up, this number is a little low. The play is the OVER.
