Total: 8.00 | -115.00 Under
Result: Win
This is a 10* TOP TOTAL on the UNDER Giants/Reds.
Both teams enter this new series having played to several higher-scoring games of late, but we feel that's only helped in driving today's total a couple points higher than it normally should be.
The Giants have seen the total go OVER in four straight, including in their most recent 9-3 win at home over the Mets, while the Reds have seen the total eclipse the posted number in two straight. That includes a 20-5 win at home over the Cubs, before then falling 7-4 yesterday.
Carlos Rodon (4-3, 3.43 ERA) gets the nod for the Giants. He's struggled somewhat over the last couple weeks, but he looked decent last time out, allowing two runs over five innings.
Rodon has to be liking his chances today as well, as he's 2-0 with a tiny 1.64 ERA in two career outings vs. the Reds.
The Reds have yet to announce their starter, but note that they've seen the total go UNDER the number in eight of their last 11 after allowing seven or more runs in a home loss in their previous outing.
I'm not laying the price on the fav on the road, but I do think Rodon will be throwing deep into this one.
Expect this total to stay well UNDER the number once it's all said and done.
Good luck, NP
