10* NON-CONF GAME OF WEEK (THE BIG ONE!)
(NCAAF) Central Michigan vs. Oklahoma State,
Point Spread: 21.00 | -110.00 Central Michigan (Away)
Result: Win
This is a 10* NON-CONFERENCE GAME OF THE WEEK on Central Michigan.

Oklahoma State almost made it to the College Football Playoff, but fell just short last year. It'll be a tough act to follow this season in our estimation for the Cowboys.

Oklahoma State came up just a yard short of the Big 12 Title and then possible a spot in the College Football Final last year. Mike Gundy is back as coach, and so to is starting quarterback Spencer Sanders.

But Central Michigan is no push over. It finished 9-4 in the MAC last year and it'll be a contendor again this season with quarterback Daniel Richardson back under center.

The Chippewas are well-coached as well under Jim McElwain, as they're 10-2 ATS as an underdog. That's significant to note here, as Oklahoma State went just 2-2 ATS in non-conference play last season.

Oklahoma State played "down" to the level of its competition several times last lear, holding on for a seven point win over FCS Missouri State, as well as beating Tulsa by only five. I think the Cowboys will struggle to reach 12 wins again this season.

The Cowboys are still trying to figure out their running back situation as well for Sanders, who faces a Central Michigan defense which was top 30 in the country last year, and which returns 73 percent of the players on that side of the ball.

Oklahoma State has Arizona State up next as well, so it really does need to figure out its run situation.

The Cowboys are the better team with the better quarterback, but I don't think the margin of victory will be nearly as wide as what the oddsmakers are trying to lead us to believe.

I think Oklahoma State goes up early, then takes the foot off the gas, leaving the back door wide open for the hungry Chips to comfortably sneak in through down the stretch.

The play is CENTRAL MICHIGAN.

Good luck, NP
