10* TOTAL BOOKIEKILLER *SIGNATURE PICK!*
(MLB) San Diego vs. San Francisco,
Total: 7.50 | -107.00 Under
Result: Win
This is a 10* TOTAL BOOKIEKILLER on the UNDER Padres/Giants.

Both teams have been playing to several higher-scoring games of late, but we're expecting those trends to end this evening. That includes the Padres 6-5 win in last night's series opener.

We have two hungry starters going head-to-head here and I anticipate that they'll be the main storyline in tomorrow's summaries of this contest.

The visitors go with Blake Snell (5-7, 4.24 ERA), while the home side counters with Logan Webb (11-7, 3.33.)

With the win yesterday, the Padres are now 1.5 games behind the Phillies for the final wildcard. San Francisco falls 8.5 games back now.

The Giants will be eager to snap a five-game slide, but note that they've seen the total go UNDER the number in eight of their last 12 after five or more straight losses in a row.

Snell is coming off his worst outing of the year, allowing six runs over 3 1/3's innings in a 7-0 loss to the Guardians on Wednesday.

Webb has lost two in a row, allowing nine eared runs over his last 9 1/3's innings of work.

Snell though is 2-1 with a 3.08 ERA in five career starts vs. San Francisco, while Webb is 2-1 with a 3.14 ERA in eight career games vs. the Padres.

Look for these two hungry starters to bounce back, to battle deep, and then expect this total to stay well UNDER the number once it's all said and done.

Good luck, NP
