This is a 10* NON-CONF. TOTAL OF THE YEAR on the OVER 49ers/Broncos.
San Francisco has been involved in two really low-scoring games, losing 19-10 to the Bears in Week 1 (a total rain out), and then pulling away for the 27-7 victory at home over Seattle last week.
Denver is 1-1 as well. It lost 17-16 at Seattle to open the season, before then bouncing back with an uninspiring 16-9 home victory over the Texans.
Trey Lance got injured for the 49ers in the last game and Jimmy Garoppolo came off the bench and threw for 154 yards and a TD. I think he'll be a lot better here today getting the start, playing with a chip on his shoulder, ready to prove that he should really be running this offense.
And clearly Russell Wilson can't be happy with his offense either. The Broncos were one of the Top 5 favored teams to win the Superbowl this season, but after the first two weeks, Wilson's stock has dropped considerably.
That said, I expect this Denver offense to finally make some adjustments this week.
As primarily a situational handicapper, this one falls right into my wheelhouse. This line opened at 43 and it's since gone up. I believe this O/U line is still way too low.
