This is a 10* TOTAL OF THE WEEK on the UNDER Knights/Kings.

The Golden Knights' fans have been spoiled. Last year was the first time ever that the team had even missed the playoffs.

The Kings on the other hand made the playoffs for the first time in three years last season. The road team has won five of the last six between these division rivals and while that strong trend may hit again here, I think it'll be a tight, lower-scoring UNDER once it's all said and done.

Part of the problem for the Knights last year was injury. Jack Eichel didn't make his debut till February and Mark Stone was limited to just 34 games. But the defense was solid last season. Logan Thompson will likely get the start here and he closed out last year going 7-1-3.

LA got balanced scoring last year to make it into the postseason. Trevor Moore was a stand out with 17 goals and 48 points. LA went 3-4 in the preseason and split a pair of games with the Knights.

But the Kings were great in net last year as well. Jon Quick will get the nod in net tonight. He didn't fare very well against the Knights last season, letting in nine goals in two matchups. However, we can expect the veteran to be "on point" in the opener.

I think this one sets up as a defensive affair, not an offensive one.
