This is a 10* NON-CONF. TOY on the UNDER Wild/Habs.
Both teams have been involved in many high-scoring affairs to open the season, but I say we see a much more defensive contest this evening.
Note, Minnesota has in fact seen the total go OVER the number in all five of its games so far this season. It's coming if off back-to-back OT contests though, and I think it'll finally be "gassed" on the ooffensive end (also note that the Wild have seen the total go UNDER the number in six of their last eight after playing to five or more straight OVERS in a row.)
Montreal is off the 5-2 loss here at home to Dallas. The Habs have gotten decent goaltending, allowing a collective 3.00 GAA, ranked in the middle of the pack.
They've struggled offensively though, averaging just 2.67 GPG, ranked 27th.
The Wild's defense catches a break here.
