10* NON-CONF. GAME OF MONTH (71% SURGE L6 WEEKS!)
(NCAAF) BYU vs. Boise State,
Point Spread: 7.50 | -110.00 BYU (Away)
Result: Win
Point Spread: 7.50 | -110.00 BYU (Away)
Result: Win
This is a 10* NON-CONF. GAME OF THE MONTH on BYU.
A big non-conference matchup here, but I love the way this one sets up for BYU.
The Cougars are 4-5. They're off a tough 27-24 home loss to ECU as a 3-point favorite, and while they came up short, I expect them to, at the very least, keep this non-conference game close enough to comfortably cover with the large spread they've been afforded.
BSU is off a 49-10 home win over Colorado State as a 26-point favorite to move to 6-2, and now bowl eligible.
After this the Broncos have games at Nevada and Wyoming and then they finish off at Utah State. Other than the game vs. the Cowboys, they'll be favored the rest of the way. This sets up as a natural letdown spot for the visiting side.
These teams are more evenly matched than what this spread is suggesting (BYU averages 29.4 PPG, while Boise State averages 28.9.)
As primarily a situational handicapper, these are exactly the types of "situations" that I am looking for at this point of the season. I say the BYU goes down fighting until the end.
So grab the points.
Good luck, NP
