Point Spread: 5.00 | -117.00 UC Riverside (Away)
Result: Win
This is a 10* MID-MAJOR MAULING on UC Riverside.
While I do think an outright victory is possible, in the end I'll recommend to grab as many points as you can.
UC Riverside is 0-1 after an 82-66 loss at Colorado to open the season. Loyola Marymount is 1-0 ater smashing Life Pacific by a score of 99-49.
UC Riverside was 16-12 last year though, including 9-6 in the Big West. The Highlanders went on to lose to Hawaii in the first round of the Tournament. The Highlanders to their credit looked a lot better in the second half against the Buffs in theie opener, and I'm expecting them to carry that confidence and momentum over here.
Loyola Marymount was 11-18 last year, including 3-12 in the West Coast Conference. Was a decent start to the season, but c'mon, it was Life Pacific.
The Lions are going to have a much stiffer test here. I say this one comes down to whichever team has it hands on the ball last (note that UC Riverside also won the rebound battle against Colorado 44-43!)
Grab the points, the play is UC RIVERSIDE.
Good luck, NP
