Point Spread: 20.50 | -110.00 South Florida (Away)
Result: Win
This is a 10* DESTROYER on USF.
South Florida is 0-1, and Auburn is 1-0.
The Bulls are off a 64-61 home loss to Southeast Missouri State, while Auburn beat George Mason at home by a score of 70-52.
Am I suggesting that USF is going to rally for an outright victory here? Of course not. But I do think the stage is set for a much tighter battle than what this spread is suggesting.
The bright spot for the Bulls in their upset home loss was that they did force 15 turnovers. The road ahead isn't going to get much easier for the Bulls, so they have to quickly move on from the opening setback.
The Tigers looked "OK" in their win over over George Mason. They didn't shoot particularly well, and only hit four three-pointers. Defensively they did decently, forcing 14 steals and 10 blocks.
The Tigers aren't going to lose this game. You know it, I know it and they know it.
USF though is going to have opportunities. Brian Gregory could be on the hot seat already, but I expect him to have his team much more prepared today.
Grab the points, the play is USF.
Good luck, NP
