The Hornets have faced some stiff competition right out of the gate, and I think tonight's line is over-adjusted. They lost 111-70 to UAB, then 96-58 to USC, followed by a 91-62 loss to Pepperdine last time out.
The Spartans beat Georgia Southern 63-48, and the they pulled away for the 90-68 victory over Bethesda in their most recent outing.
San Jose State has yet to be challenged this year. Alabama State though is now already battle-tested after three games, and I expect the Hornets to, at the very least, keep this one close enough to earn the comfortable cover.
