10* NON-CONF TOTAL OF MONTH (SOLID 10-7 START!)
(NCAAB) Houston vs. Oregon,
Total: 132.00 | -112.00 Over
Result: Loss
Total: 132.00 | -112.00 Over
Result: Loss
This is a 10* NON-CONFERENCE TOTAL OF THE MONTH on the OVER Houston/Oregon.
Both teams have been involved in several lower-scoring games of late, but I expect those trends to end this evening. Houston is 4-0 and Oregon is 2-1.
The Ducks are big underdogs at home here. They've seen the total go UNDER the number in all three of their games to open the season, which is in fact significant for us to note here, as Oregon has seen the total go OVER the number in seven of its last ten after playing to three or moroe straight UNDERS in a row.
The Ducks average 72.3 PPG.
The Cougars average 82.5. Houston has seen the total go UNDER the number in three of its last four, including in its latst 83-48 win over Texas Southern, but look for the Ducks' offense to keep pace with the visiting side (Texas Southern only average 61 PPG.)
Today's total is a few points lower than it normally would/should be in my opinion, because of the fact that each side has been involved in so many lower-scoring defensive affairs to this point.
But the numbers/trends and the overall situation all point to the OVER as the correct call finally here on Sunday night.
Good luck, NP
