Result: Loss
Point Spread: -2.50 | -110.00 Dayton (Home)
Result: Loss
This is an 8* ROUT on Dayton.
This is the second round of the Bad Boy Mowers Battle 4 Atlantis. The winner advances to the fifth place game, while the loser goes for the seventh place.
The Flyers are 3-2 after a 43-42 loss to Wisconsin on Thursday. The Wolfpack are now 4-1 after an 80-74 loss (but covered) to Kansas yesterday.
The Flyers got off to a brutal start in their last loss, scoring only 14 points by halftime. They sure looked a lot better in the second half though, but it was too little, too late.
But I'm expecting that second-half momentum to get carried over here. Dayton is so far scoring 64.8 PPG, and allowing 54.8.
The Wolfpack fell short in their upset bid as well against KU. They average 88.2 PPG, while allowing 63.5. Those numbers are skewed after four straight home games vs. weak competition though to open the season. NC State's numbers are already normalizing after the KU loss.
And I expect that to be the case again here as well. Dayton's defense is dominant and I don't expect it to have any "jitters" offensively to open this contest either.
Lay the points, the play is DAYTON.
Good luck, NP
