New Jersey has far exceeded everyone's expectations, and regression is imminent in my opinion. It's now 21-5 after a 6-4 loss at the Islanders last time out.

I think they'll stumble again here vs. the revenge-minded Rangers, who lost 5-2 at New Jersey on November 28th. New York is 7-2 in its last nine in trying to avenge a three goals or greater loss vs. an opponent.

New York is off a confidence boosting 2-1 shootout road win at Colorado and I believe it catches the Devils at the exact correct moment here on Monday night.

All things considered, I view this to be the very definition of "great line value."
