This is a 10* NON-CONFERENCE TOP TOTAL on the OVER UMBC/Loyola Maryland.

I base my picks on many different things. This particular one sets up well from a situational standpoint, and it's also backed by a couple of strong and relevant O/U ATS stats.

UMBC is 7-4 and it averages 78.1 PPG. It's seen the total go UNDER in three straight though, which is significant to note in this case as the Retrievers have in fact seen the total go OVER the number in seven of their last ten after playing to three or more straight UNDERS in a row.

Loyola Maryland is 4-7 and it averages 63.7 PPG. It's coming off a listless 51-34 loss at Mount St. Mary's, which is important to note here, as the Greyhounds have seen the total go OVER the number in 14 of their last 20 after being held to 49 or less points in a SU/ATS loss in their previous outing.

The overall situation, combined with the numbers/trends all point to this one flying OVER the posted number sooner, rather than later.
