Point Spread: 23.00 | -110.00 Georgetown University (Away)
Result: Win
This is an 8* SIDE WINNER on Georgetown.
UConn has been unbelievable early, but I think this spread is just a few points too large.
Georgetown enters at 5-7, while the Huskies are a perfect 12-0. Is the fact that UConn is unbeaten helped in driving up this spread a few points higher than it normally would be? That's absolutely what I believe.
Patrick Ewing's team is once again struggling. That's in part because of so many new faces in the line-up. Some chemistry issues early continue to resolve themselves now as the season wears on.
Georgetown has struggled, but none of its seven losses have come by 20+ points. They looked pretty good against a good Xavier team even in defeat last time out.
The Huskies have been fantastic, especially defensively. They just held Butler to 46 points in their most recent outing.
But none of their six victories against better teams have come by 23 or more points.
Clearly UConn is the better team, but "perception" has driven this spread "way out of whack."
No outright, but closer than expected. Grab the points, the play is the HOYAS.
Good luck, NP
