Total: 71.50 | -105.00 Over

This is a 10* TEXAS BOWL TOTAL on the OVER.
A lot of these Bowls have been horrible for varying reasons.. Maybe not great matchups, or the fact that many players weren't involved in the actual game due to injury or transfers, but this particular one sees almost both teams entire regular season line-ups involved. Because of that, I really do like the OVER in this one.
The reason I like the OVER is that first off, these are two really good offenses.
Ole Miss averages 34.2 points per game, while Texas Tech is right behing averaging 33.6 points per game.
The Rebels though enter the Texas Bowl on a three-game losing streak, and over their last six games they've allowed an average of 33.8 points per game.
The Red Raiders won their final three games in a row, but they also allowed 30 or more points in seven straight games this season.
And the other reason I really like this game to go OVER the number, is because neither the Red Raiders or the Rebels were hit by any significant draft-related departures, meaning that each team's dynamic offense is going to be playing here.
The Red Raiders actually have 12 seniors playing here as well, including seven starters and five backups who all play regularly (they all decided to come back and take advantage of an extra season in 2023 granted because of COVID 19.)
I think the stage is set for a complete "SHOOTOUT" here. Defense is going to take a back seat, because the play is the OVER.
Good luck, NP
