Both teams have been involved in several higher-scoring games of late, but I expect those trends to end this evening.

Vegas is coming in off a 5-4 OT win over Nashville. It lost 3-2 to Colorado in October, and I expect a similar tight and lower-scoring battle here.

Colorado comes in hungry to snap a three-game slide, all of which have flown OVER the posted number, including in its most recent 6-2 home setback to the Leafs.

Note though that the Avs have seen the total go UNDER the number in eight of their last 12 after playing to three or more straight OVERS in a row.

I say the conditions are now definitely correct for a defensive affair here. Consider the UNDER in this one.
