Point Spread: -1.50 | -106.00 Cincinnati (Home)
Result: Loss
The Reds came away with an easy is will be game two of three in the Red 7-1 win over the hapless Detroit Tigers on opening day. The reds didn't waste any time yesterday, putting up two runs in the first inning. Mike Moustakas had a big day at the plate with three hits, one being a two-run homer, and he drove in four runs. Sonny Gray threw six innings with one earned run and struck out nine. Luis Castillo will get the start in game two. Last season he went 15-8 with a 3.40 ERA and 226 strikeouts.

The Tigers looked like they picked up where they left off last season, not hitting or pitching. Detroit managed just three hits and struck out 13 times. Matthew Boyd wasn't great either allowing six hits and four runs in five innings of work. Ivan Nova will look to right the ship for the Tigers. Last season, Nola was 11-12 with a 4.72 ERA and 114 strikeouts.

Cincinnati added to an already potent offense and has enough pitching to make some noise. The good thing for the Tigers this season is that there are only sixty games. Cincinnati should be able to score some runs off Nova and I am not sure can hit the ball let alone score.
