(MLB) Milwaukee vs. Chi White Sox,
Money Line: -126.00 Chi White Sox (Home)
Result: Loss
Money Line: -126.00 Chi White Sox (Home)
Result: Loss
The Milwaukee Brewers are need of a win as they find themselves 4.5 games behind the Cubs just two weeks into this shortened season. One reason for their struggles to start the season is the struggles of star slugger Christian Yelich. he is hitting just .097 in 31 at-bats with just two walks and 13 strikeouts. Adrian Houser will get the start for the Brewers today. In his first start of the season, he allowed just 1 run in five innings of work. Last year he posted a 6-7 record with a 3.72 ERA in 35 games (18 starts).
Coming into the season, I was high on the White Sox and after a rocky start they have reeled off six wins in a row. They can look at their offense as one of the main reasons for this run. They lead the MLB in team batting average, fourth in runs scored, and sixth in home runs. The Sox will send Dallas Keuchel to the mound in hopes of keeping the streak alive. This season he has posted a 2-0 record and a 3.38 ERA. He seems to be getting in back into Houston form after a mediocre season last year, in which he went 8-8 with a 3.75 ERA.
Milwaukee has lost two in a row and finds themselves 4.5 games behind the Cubs in the NL Central. The Sox have won six in a row and are now just two games back of the Twins. The Brewers have struggled scoring as of late especially with Yelich struggling at the plate. It is hard not to back the Sox offense and Keuchel at this number. so I won't.
Play on the Chicago White Sox. This is a GAME OF THE WEEK.
