The Cleveland Indians are coming off a three-game sweep of the Detroit Tigers over the weekend. out of a three-game weekend set versus the Tigers. The Indians have struggled at the plate all season but Jose Ramirez has hit five homers and driven in eighteen with Franmil Reye hitting .314 with five homers and 15 runs batted in. They have been strong on the mound and will hand the ball to Carlos Carrasco for the start. This season he is 2-2 with a 3.22 ERA and 30 strikeouts in 22.1 innings.
The Pirates had the weekend off as two games were postponed due to a positive virus test. As with the Indians, the Pirates offense has been severely lacking. Colin Moran has hit six home runs but has just nine runs batted in. JT Brubaker will take the mound for the Pirates against the Indians. He has made one start in three appearances with a 3.38 er in 8 innings.
Cleveland has the better pitching in this one. Carasco has had three quality starts out of four and should be able to control the Pirates bats. Brubaker will only go a few innings so the Cleveland bats should get some whacks at the Pirated pen. I see a lot of value on Cleveland on the run-line.
Play on Cleveland minus 1.5 runs.
