The Dallas Mavericks had their chances after falling behind by 16, but came up short and lost 118-110 to the Clippers in game 1. Luka Doncic was unstoppable, putting up 42 points, grabbing seven rebounds and dishing out nine assists. Tim Hardaway Jr. added 18 points, while Kristaps Porzingis scored 14 before being ejected for two weak technicals. They struggled in the second half after Porzingis went out.

The Los Angeles Clippers will look to take a 2-0 series lead over the Mavericks. The Clippers were led by Kawhi Leonard with 29 points, 12 rebounds, and six assists. Paul George came up with 27 points and Marcus Morris Sr. added 19 points, six rebounds, and four steals.

The Mavericks are 0-5 ATS in the last five meetings overall against the Clippers. Dallas was right there with the Clippers but lost a little when Porzingis went out. The Clippers had their whole roster back for the first time in the bubble and they looked a little out of sync. Dallas may not win this one but they will keep it close.
