The Vegas Golden Knights took game one of their series with the Vancouver Canucks 5-0. It was the first time Vancouver has been shut out since losing game one of the qualifying series against the Minnesota Wild. Vancouver was able to get just 28 shots on goal against the Vegas defense. The Canucks will need to get their offense going if they hope to even the series. One way they could do that is on their pow, which ranks sixth in the playoffs, scoring on 25.6 percent of their chances. Jacob Markstrom allowed five goals on shots faced before getting pulled in the third. yanked with nine minutes to go in the third period. He is 7-4-0 record with a 92 percent save percentage and one shutout in these playoffs.
The Vegas offense came to play scoring five times in game one. The defense also played big in the game allowing just 28 shots and getting a shutout. Vegas was 11-2 when the season was suspended and has stayed hot in the bubble, going 7-1. Robin Lehner got his first career shutout in the playoffs by stopping all 28 shots. Lehner is 6-1 with a 2.10 GAA and 91 percent save in the playoffs.
Vegas dominated game one on both ends of the ice and have dominated inside the bubble. Vancouver will not play as badly as they did in game one and has averaged over 3 goals in the playoffs. I like the Knights again in this one as they are playing some great hockey and Lehner has been standing on his head. I am taking Vegas on the Puck-line for Value.
Play on Vegas minus 1.5 goals.
