The Philadelphia Flyers will look to even the series at to games apiece after dropping game three 3-1 yesterday. The Flyers started out strong as they got the first and only goal in the first period. The Islanders tied it up in the second period and took the lead just before the period ended. The Islanders scored early in the third period to push their lead to two goals and shut down the Flyers the rest of the way. Philadelphia outshot the Islanders 2-4 in the third but could not put one in the back of the net.

Semyon Varlamov got the win for the Islanders stopping 26 of 27 shots. He is now 9-2 this postseason for the Islanders. Carter Hart took the loss giving up three goals on 29 shots. The under has gone under is 6-2-3 in the Flyers 11 playoff games as an underdog. For the Islanders, the under is 3-1-1 in their last 5 games within the division.

This is an important game for both sides. The Flyer can tie the series with a win or find themselves down 3-1 with a loss. Neither team will want to make a mistake and give up that all-important first goal. I am looking for another hard-hitting, closely contested game.
