The Nebraska Cornhuskers will take on the Northwestern Wildcats in Big 10 action. Nebraska was scheduled to face #9 Wisconsin last week but had that game called off due to COVID outbreaks for the Badgers. They opened the season with a 52-17 pounding at the hands of #3 Ohio State. Nebraska was primed to play Wisconsin last week but that fell through due to the Badgers having a spike in cases of COVID-19. The Cornhuskers passing offense is 90th in the country with 160 yards a game and they rank 18th in rushing offense with 210 yards a game. They are putting up 17 points a game and are giving up 52 points a game. The offense is led by quarterback Adrian Martinez who has thrown for 105 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions and a team-high 85 rushing yards. Luke McCaffrey saw some action under center and threw for 55 yards and rushed for 80 yards. Outside of the quarterbacks, Dedrick Mills had nine carries for 25 yards with a touchdown and Ronald Thompkins had just four carries for 22 yards.

Northwestern rallied to upend Iowa 21-20 on the road last Saturday in their last game. Northwestern won its season opener against Maryland 43-3. The Wildcats offense puts up 171 yards through the air and 234 yards on the ground. Northwestern puts up 32 points a game and their defense is allowing just 11.5 points. The offense is led by former Indiana quarterback Peyton Ramsey with 342 passing yards with one touchdown and one interception. He has rushed for 73 yards and a touchdown. plus a score on the ground. The rushing attack is led by Isaiah Bowser with 155 yards and a touchdown. Drake Anderson has added 104 yards and a score.

Nebraska has the rest advantage but has plenty to clean up after getting boat raced at Ohio State. The Northwestern offense doesn't have the firepower of Ohio State but will batter you into submission and their defense will clean up the rest. Nebraska isn't impressive on offense and they will be playing on the road against a confident team. Northwestern gets the win and cover at home.
