The Toledo Rockets opened their season with a win over Bowling Green. They will be going for their first 2-0 start since 2017 but will have to win on the road where they have lost four straight. The offense is led by Eli Peters with 214 passing yards, to go with four touchdowns and zero interceptions. Bryce Mitchell and Bryant Koback have combined to catch passes from Peters for 108 yards and two touchdowns. As a team, the Rockets are rushing for 310 yards a game and are led by Shakif Seymour 93 yards and one touchdown. On the defensive side, they are giving up three points and 267 yards a game.

The Western Michigan Broncos started their season with a win over Akron. Their last 2-0 start was back in 2016 and will look to extend their home winning streak which sits at seven games. The offense is led by Kaleb Eleby with 262 passing yards, to go with three touchdowns and zero interceptions. D'Wayne Eskridge and Jaylen Hall have combined to catch passes for 182 yards and three touchdowns. The Broncos rushing attack is putting up 218 yards a game and is led by La'Darius Jefferson with 70 yards and one touchdown. On the defensive side of the ball, they are giving up 13 points and 256 yards a game.

The Rockets are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 conference games, and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games overall. The Broncos are 6-1-1 ATS in their last 8 home games. Both teams rely on a strong running attack. Both defenses will be focused on stopping the other's rushing attack which will make them need a passing attack. Western Michigan has a strong defensive line and an offense that has the big-play ability on the outside. Western has won seven in a row and I like them to extend it to eight.
