You have two teams here that are heading in opposite directions. Both teams come in with identical 5-7 records but their situations are a complete 180 from each other. Washington has won three in a row and find themselves tied for first place in the NFC East and are fighting for a playoff spot. San Fran, on the other hand, is last in the NFC West and for all intents and purposes out of playoff contention. To throw salt in the wound, this is not a true home game for San Francisco, as they are forced to play in Arizona.
