The Michigan State Spartans finished the season with a 15-12 overall record and lost in the first round of the Big 10 Tournament to Maryland. Aaron Henry comes in as MSU’s lone double-digit scorer with 15.3 points a game. The UCLA Bruins finished the season with a 17-9 overall record. They lost in the Pac -12 tournament to eventual champion Oregon State. Johnny Juzang leads the Bruins with 14 points a game.

Michigan State has been tough defensively on the perimeter, but the Bruins are void of the sort of sharpshooters that would give them problems. The Spartans will play Physical on defense inside of the arc and limit paths to the basket. Michigan State will contest shots and force UCLA to miss on low-percentage attempts. The Spartan's experience of playing against ranked opposition will give them the confidence to impose their will on the defensive end. Michigan State has struggled on the defensive end themselves so I am looking for a low-scoring game.
