The Braves do not want to start the season being swept by a divisional rival. They will have one thing in their favor as they send one of their best arms to the mound to try and get the Braves into the win column. Ian Anderson looked like a potential ace when he was called up to the majors for a short time last season. The Phillies will counter with Zach Eflin on the mound. He pitched well last season and must show he can do it over a full season. The Braves’ offense has scored just two runs over his first two games and the two teams have combined for just nine total runs. Anderson should have success against a Phillies lineup that strikes out a lot. Eflin has done well against the Braves posting a 5-3 record with a 3.48 ERA in nine career starts against Atlanta.
