(MLB) St. Louis vs. Atlanta,
Money Line: -140.00 Atlanta (Home)
Result: Win
The St. Louis Cardinals and the Atlanta Braves meet in game two of a four-game weekend series. The Braves shut out the Cards in game one. The Cards came into yesterday's game having swept the Marlins previously but couldn't muster a run against Braves pitching. The Cards will send Carlos Martinez to the mound to face the Braves. So far this season, he has posted a 5.54 ERA with 44 strikeouts and 22 walks in 65.0 innings.

The Braves needed a win after dropping two in a row to the Boston Red Sox. Charlie Morton carried a no-hitter into the seventh and finishes allowing three hits. no earned and seven strikeouts on three hits. The Braves will turn two Max Fried to keep the wins going. He has posted a 4.62 ERA this season, with 49 strikeouts and 18 walks in 50.2 innings.

The Cardinals are 5-1 in their last six versus a lefty starter and 5-2 in their last seven road games versus a left-handed starter. The Braves are 12-4 in their last 16 versus the NL Central.

The Braves offense has started to come around and should be able to get some good hacks off of Martinez. Fried has not been as good as he was last year but is capable of pitching a gem at any time. Take the Braves at home in this one.

Play on Atlanta.
