MLB AFTERNOON DELIGHT (4-0 YESTERDAY)
(MLB) Atlanta vs. Miami,
Money Line: 100.00 Atlanta (Away)
Result: Win
The Atlanta Braves took the first game of their series against the Miami Marlins 5-0 last night. Charlie Morton went 7 innings of 2 hit ball to pick up his eighth win of the season against three losses. The Braves will look to build on that win by sending Max Fried to the mound. He has been inconsistent this season, posting a 5-5 record with a 4.66 ERA and 67 strikeouts. He is 0-3 with a 6.19 ERA and 38 strikeouts in his career against Miami.

The Miami Marlins suffered another loss yesterday, as once again the offense could not produce any hits let alone runs. The Marlins will hand the ball over to Trevor Rogers for today's start. This season, he has posted a 7-5 record with a 2.22 ERA and 118 strikeouts this season. In his career against Atlanta, he is 0-1 with a 7.00 ERA and 13 strikeouts.

The Marlins continue to struggle to give any of their pitchers any type of run support. Fried has not pitched well this season and has been terrible against the Marlins, which may give the Marlins some hope. The Brave's offense has a lot of firepower and should benefit from facing Rogers a second time this season. Atlants knows they are in win-now mode after getting off to a slow start to the season.

Play on Atlanta. This is a 8* play.
