This is a tale of two teams heading in opposite directions. The difference can be found in the opposing offenses. The Giants have scored 20 runs in their last three games and four or more runs in five of their last six games and the Cardinals have managed just 13 runs in their last three games and four or more runs in five of their last 10 games. The Giants will trot Anthony DeSclafani to the mound for the start. he has been outstanding for the Giants this season, posting a 10-3 record with a 2.68 ERA and 99 strikeouts, In his career against the Cards, he is 7-4 with a 3.75 ERA and 83 strikeouts. The Cards will counter with Kwang Hyun Kim on the mound. He is just 4-5 this season but has a respectable 3.11 ERA and 59 strikeouts this season.

DeSclafani has allowed five earned runs in his last 26.2 innings. Kim has been consistent for the Cardinals but that is about it. The Giants just continue to win and are arguably the best team in baseball. We are getting the best team with possibly their best pitcher at a cheap price. Count me in.
