BIG 10 BEATDOWN
(NCAAF) Nebraska vs. Illinois,
Point Spread: 7.00 | -105.00 Illinois (Home)
Result: Win
The Illinois Fighting Illini take on the Nebraska Cornhuskers not only kick off the NCAAF season but will be kicking off their Big Ten conference action. The Cornhuskers have struggled under head coach Scoot Frost, who many thought would bring the magic back to the Cornhusker nation. He has yet to have a winning season at Nebraska, and in fact, the team won just three games last season. Adrian Martinez returns for his fourth season at quarterback, why he is still starting is anybody's guess. You would think there has to be someone else to start. He has passed for 5,600 yards and 31 touchdowns in his career. He also led the Cornhuskers in rushing last year.

The Fighting Illini won just two games last season, and went out and got a new head coach in Wisconsin legend Bret Bielema. Brandon Peters returns at quarterback and has nearly 3,000 career passing yards with 25 touchdowns. Chase Brown returns at running back where he rushed for 540 rushing yards.

Frost is winning just 37.5 percent of his games at Nebraska through three seasons and the Cornhuskers have lost four of its last six games outright as a favorite. Illinois beat Nebraska on the road last year, 41-23, rushing for 285 yards and four touchdowns. I don't have a lot of faith in Frost or Martinez. Illinois will be hungry at home and with a new coach. Give me the points.

Play on Illinois.
