HURRICANE WARNINGS
(NCAAF) Alabama vs. Miami-FL,
Point Spread: 19.50 | -107.00 Miami-FL (Home)
Result: Loss
The Miami Hurricanes had a decent season under Manny Diaz. They finished with an 8-3 overall record and they were 7-2 in ACC play. Miami's offense put up 34 points and the defense gave up 27 points a game last season. D’Eriq King returns to lead the offense and is expected to play despite tearing an ACL a bowl game He will be needed as the Cane's open up against Alabama. Cam’Ron Harris returns to the backfield after amassing a team-high 643 rushing yards and 10 rushing TDs last season. Oklahoma transfer Charleston Rambo just adds more to an already rich receiving corps. The defense will need to replace a couple of key people upfront but have a couple of freshmen and transfers that could fill those roles. The linebackers and secondary have some experience which will come in handy facing Bama.

The Alabama Crimson Tide are the defending national champions after going a perfect 13-0 last season and a win over Ohio State to win the college football championship. Bama will definitely have to reload this season and they have lost some best offensive players they have had in recent memories. Gone from last year's team are Mac Jones, DeVonta Smith, Jaylen Waddle, Najee Harris, and Alex Leatherwood. Bryce Young will be next up to carry the load as Alabama Quarterback. You will probably see more of a running back by committee with Brian Robinson getting the lead role with Jase McClellen and Roydell Williams also getting carries. John Metchie will be the go-to receiver as he tallied 55 catches for 916 yards and six touchdowns last season. On the defensive side, they should be ok and the addition of Tennessee transfer Henry To’o To’o could be huge. ’t be forgotten about. The d-line is always the turnstile of 4 and 5-star recruits and they return four of five starters from the secondary. Alabama's offense put up 48.5 points last season while the defense is giving up 19.4.

Bama always starts out of the gate strong on the defensive end and this year shouldn't be any different. the biggest difference for Bama this year is replacing a ton of offensive talent and getting them ready to face a team like Miami to start the season. I think D'Erik king can give the Bama defense some problems and put up some points. I don't see an upset but I am looking for a tight game for the first half and Miami keeping it within the spread at the end.

Play on Miami.
