Result: Loss
Two of the worst teams in baseball face off, when the Oakland Athletics take on the Kansas City Royals to finish off their three-game series. Oakland will send Maon Miller to the mound and KC will counter with Ryan Yarbrough. Miller is 0-1, with a 3.52 ERA, while Yarbrough is 0-4, with a 7.40 ERA. Oakland is 7-4 in its last 11 games against Kansas City. The Athletics snapped their three-game losing streak with a win in game one and now have won two in a row over the Royals. Oakland is putting up 3.97 runs per game. As a team, the A's are giving up 7.64 runs per game. The Royals have lost four of their last five games. Kansas City is putting up 3.85 runs per game and giving up 5.94. Yarbrough has struggled at home where he has given up nine runs in two starts. He gave up five runs in his last start against the Athletics. The A's hit well against left-handed pitching and throw in the fact that Kansas City has the fourth-worst bullpen in the league, Oakland should have opportunities to score some runs. Miller has given up six runs in three starts and will be facing a KC lineup that has struggled against right-handed pitching. I like Oakland to keep the momentum going and take another one from KC.
