The Oakland Athletics are at home to take on the Chicago White Sox. The Sox got their offense going Sunday as they were able to score seven runs. But it still wasn’t enough as the Twins scored 10 of their own. Jonathan Cannon is expected to start for the Chi-Sox. He is 1-5 with a 4.11 ERA. His ERA when pitching on the road balloons to 5.76. The Sox are putting up just 3.09 runs per game.Oakland was unable to bounce back after being blanked in game two. The Athletics finished with six hits on the day, but were only able to muster two runs. Miguel Andujar was the lone Athletic to log multiple hits and Brent Rooker added a home run and two RBIs. Osvaldo Bido got the start and over six innings he allowed two runs on six hits and struck out six. The A’s will send JP Sears to the mound. He is 8-8 this season, with a 4.53 ERA and a 1.25 WHIP. Oakland is putting up 4.11 runs per game. The Oakland offense is doing better and the White Sox traded away the best players from a poor offense at the deadline. Even though it is not the greatest matchup, you have to keep fading the Sox.
