I’m on the Tigers -1.5 @ home vs the Rays for these reasons:

- Tigers are hot right now, winning their last 5 series and scoring an average of 4.6 goals per game in those 15 games. The tigers have a shot at the post season, and being tied with the Royals isn’t a bad thing since they own the title breaker with their series win last week, but to win out this season will lock them into a position nobody thought they would reach.

- Skubal is also red hot and he’s starting this series off for the playoff hopefuls. He’s 9-1 at home this season, with a 2.13 ERA, and 110 strikeouts in Detroit. The crowd should be rocking tonight with their Ace on the mound and a lot on the line. Last time he started he the rays he only gave up 3 hits, 0 runs and struck out 9 bats. The Tigers won that game 7-1

- Rays have nothing to play for, and aren’t good enough or at home to play spoiler like the Nationals are vs the Royals. It’s easy for me to back the Tigers here on the runline
