AMEDEUS' MLB DIAMOND DINGER!
(MLB) Philadelphia vs. Toronto,
Total: 8.00 | -114.00 Under
Result: Win
The Phillies are coming into this game off of a 3-0 loss against the Twins and have been in some lower scoring games recently as they have seen 8 runs total or less in 3 of their last 5 games. They are going up against a Blue Jays team that has not been trending to the under recently in their last 3 games but they were in their 4 straight games prior to their last 3 and this is a game that could end up turning into a pitcher's duel with these starters. Zack Wheeler is starting for the Phillies here and he is 9-5 with a 3.74 ERA this season. He did allow 3 earned runs in his last start but he has been pitching very well recently as he has allowed 2 earned runs or less in 3 of his last 4 starts. He has also been much better on the road recently as he has allowed just 2 earned runs or less in each of his last 3 straight as well as 5 of his last 6 starts with 4 of those seeing just 1 earned run or less. Yusei Kikuchi is starting for the Blue Jays here and he is 9-4 with a 3.53 ERA this season. He has been very good as a starter all season and has not allowed many runs at all in his recent starts as well. He has allowed just 1 earned run or less in each of his last 5 straight as well as 7 of his last 9 starts. He has also been striking out a lot of batters while not giving up as many hits in his starts recently and has been going very deep into each start as well. Both Wheeler and Kikuchi have been pitching very well recently and they are both going to bring their best game here as both of these teams are in the hunt for a Wild Card in their respective leagues. This is going to be a low scoring game that stays under the total.
