The Brewers are coming into this game off of a win which snapped a 3 game losing streak they were on and their offense really showed up big as they beat the Rangers 9-8. They are going up against a Rangers team that has still been playing very well recently as they lead the AL West and also have one of the better offenses in the league while the Brewers actually have one of the worst. Dane Dunning is starting for the Rangers here and he is 9-4 with a 3.10 ERA this season. He has been pitching very well in the month of August as he has allowed just 1 earned run or less in 2 of his last 3 starts and has not allowed more than 3 earned runs in any of those. He has also been much better in his home starts as he has allowed just 2 earned runs or less in 4 of his last 5 home starts and even though the Brewers managed to score 9 runs in their game last night, it does not happen often for them where they have an offensive explosion like that so Dunning will have no problem trying to shut down this weak lineup that is one of the worst offenses in the league right now. Freddy Peralta is starting for the Brewers here and he is 9-8 with a 4.08 ERA this season. He has also been pitching well in the month of August but he has not been nearly as consistent as Dunning has been all season and it is only a matter of time until Peralta gets blown up on the mound once again. The Rangers do have one of the best offenses in the league right now and have been scoring a lot of runs in their games recently so they are going to offer plenty of run support here as they did last night and even almost pulled off the comeback. The Rangers offense will get the better of the Brewers in this game though as the Rangers bounce back here at home. The Rangers will win this game at home.
