AMEDEUS' MLB DIAMOND DINGER!
(MLB) Texas vs. Minnesota,
Money Line: -119.00 Minnesota (Home)
Result: Win
The Rangers are coming into this game not playing very well recently as they have lost their last 6 straight games and their offense has been cooling off in those games. They have not scored more than 3 runs in a game in each of their last 4 games and they have also been much worse on the road all season as they are 30-30 in their road games this year. They are going up against a Twins team that has not been great recently as they have lost 3 of their last 4 games but they have been much better at home this season as they are 36-26 there and have been very good in their recent games there as well. They have won 2 of their last 3 as well as 7 of their last 9 games at home and they are going to be hungry to bounce back here after getting swept in their 2 game series against the Brewers on the road. Pablo López is starting for the Twins here and he is 9-6 with a 3.51 ERA this season. He had a very rough start to the season as he was not nearly as good as last season when he was on the Marlins, but now he has found his groove and has been pitching much better recently. He has not allowed a run in his last 3 straight starts and has allowed just 2 earned runs or less in his last 6 starts. He has also been striking out a lot of batters in his last 3 starts while not allowing as many hits and he will continue pitching well here with the Rangers offense not scoring runs at the moment. Andrew Heaney is starting for the Rangers here and he is 9-6 with a 4.27 ERA this season. He has been pitching well in August but he did slip up in his last start as he allowed 3 earned runs and he is a starter that really struggled a lot with allowing runs at the start of the season. Now he is unraveling again and he has not been good in his road starts recently either as he has allowed at least 3 earned runs in 2 of his last 3 as well as 3 of his last 5 starts. The Twins offense has been good recently and they are much better at home where they have been a better team all season. The Twins will win this game at home.
