FIU is coming into this game off of a bad season where they were 4-8 overall and were only 2-6 in their conference games. They are going up against a LA Tech team that was not any better though as they were also 2-6 in their conference games and had a worse 3-9 record overall. LA Tech was also decimated in the portal this year as they lost a lot of talent and they are not going to be a good team this season. FIU also lost some talent in the portal but they also did a very good job of trying to replace their talent lost as they did pick up some very good players and they also have a very good coach in Mike MacIntyre who is now in his 2nd season coaching the team and he is going to have this team ready to go for this 1st game of the season. The players have been buying in to what their coach has been preaching and FIU will be a much better team this season compared to what they did last year. FIU also beat LA Tech at home last year, now they will be on the road in this game but this is still a game they could end up winning outright so this is definitely too many points for this bad LA Tech team to try and win by. FIU will cover the spread in this game.
