AMEDEUS' CFB IN THE POCKET PLAY!
(NCAAF) Stanford vs. Hawaii,
Point Spread: 3.00 | -110.00 Hawaii (Home)
Result: Loss
Stanford is coming into this game after a 3-9 season last year and now they are under a new head coach for this season. Stanford did not do much to improve their team though as the transfer portal is not really something they can use to their advantage due to the academic requirements needed from the students who play there. Because of this, they leave the door closed on bringing in a lot of new talent so even though they have a new head coach to shake things up, he is still left with the same subpar talent they had last season. It is also going to be very tough for Troy Taylor to massively improve this team for their 1st game of the season, especially when they have to travel far to a place like Hawaii. Hawaii is a much improved program this season in their 2nd season under Timmy Chang. He has improved the team a lot over the last year and after getting decimated in the transfer portal last season, they were actually able to grab a lot of talent this season. They also have the advantage of having already played a game in week 0 which they were on the road against a program from the SEC in Vanderbilt and even though they lost that game, they still covered the spread and went toe to toe with Vandy as they only lost by 7 points. Hawaii is a much better team at home as well and they have a lot more talent than Stanford does. They are also more advanced in their program as they are in their 2nd season of a new coach and have improved a lot while Stanford is basically in a rebuilding phase this year. The wrong team is favored here and Hawaii is going to win this game outright. Hawaii will cover the spread here at home.
