LSU is coming into this game after going 10-4 last season but still went on to win their division in the SEC with a 6-2 conference record. They are coming into this game as the 5th ranked team in the country and they are already presented with a must win game in their season opener as they are going up against a Florida State team that is ranked 8th in the country. Brian Kelly is now in his 2nd season with the team and after already finding some success in his 1st year, he is going to be hungry for much more this season. He has a much better team this year with a lot more talent that he picked up in the transfer portal and he is going to have this team firing on all cylinders in this 1st game of the year which is very important for them. Florida State was good last season as they finished 10-3 overall and now that they are ranked number 8 in the country, they have a lot to prove themselves this season and will be coming out of the gate hard here in this must win game. This game is going to be very important to both of these teams who have hopes of getting into the college football playoffs this year so neither team is going to want to lose and both will be going hard all game. Both of these teams have great offenses that are going to score points in this game and with both teams having something to prove here, this will be a very high scoring game. Between these two teams, there will be enough points in this game to push it over the total.
