Nevada is coming into this game off of a close loss in their last game which they put a lot of effort into to try and beat a good Kansas team. They kept that game close as they only lost by 7 points at home but now they are going on the road with another tough challenge ahead. They already got smashed by USC 66-14 in their 1st game of the season and they have a loss at home to Idaho 33-6, losing badly to an FCS team. They poured a lot into that game against Kansas to come up short and now they are going on the road against a Texas State team that is very good. Texas State is 2-1 this season and they already have some very good games under their belt. They went on the road in their 1st game of the season to beat Baylor and they absolutely smashed Jackson State from the FCS in their last game, winning that one 77-34. They did lose on the road against a good UTSA team but now they are at home and they have a very good offense from the pick ups they made in the transfer portal. Texas State is going to be a threat in the Sun Belt this season and they are going to show how dangerous they are in this home game against a bad Nevada team. Nevada does not have a good offense either so they will struggle to keep up with the amount of points Texas State can score in this game. Texas State is going to cover the spread here.
