(NCAAF) Washington vs. USC,
Point Spread: -3.00 | 100.00 Washington (Away)
Result: Win
Washington is coming into this game with an 8-0 record this season and they have one of the best offenses in the country. They have struggled more in their last 2 games as they only beat Arizona State 15-7 in a very close game and beat Stanford 42-33 in their last game, but that game against Arizona State was a bit of a let down right after beating Oregon and their defense stepped up in that game when the offense was not performing, just how the offense showed up last week against Stanford when the defense needed help. They are going up against a USC team that is 7-2 this season as they have lost 2 of their last 3 games. They have not played well in their last 3 games as they lost 48-20 against Notre Dame, lost 34-32 against Utah at home, and only beat California 50-49 in their last game which they were trailing for most of the game and only won on a failed 2 point conversion by Cal which would have given them the lead with no time left. As much as Washington has struggled in their last 2 games, USC has been much worse recently and a lot of that has to do with their defense being awful. Both of these teams can score points as USC has been averaging 45.9 (2nd in the country) points scored per game this season while Washington is averaging 40.4 (9th in the country) points scored per game, but Washington has a big edge on defense as they are only allowing 20.6 (36th in the country) points per game while USC has been averaging 32.6 (112th in the country) points allowed per game. Washington has the better defense in this game and they also have more talent on their offense despite averaging a few points less per game. Washington will cover the spread in this game.
