St John's is coming into this game off of an 18-15 season last year but they have made some big changes with Rick Pitino now coaching the team. Joel Soriano is the only returning starter on the team this season but he was the leading scorer last year and Pitino has also had time to use the transfer portal and acquire the players he wants for this team. They are going up against a Stony Brook team that was awful last season as they finished 11-22 overall. Stony Brook is returning some of their starters from last season but this was also a team that was averaging 6 more points allowed per game than they were scoring and they have to play this game in a very tough environemnt with Pitino making his debut as head coach as well. Pitino is going to have his team ready to make a statement in this game tonight and they will come away with a big double digit win by over 20 points against a bad Stony Brook team.
